ESOL Teacher, starting asap.  Fixed Term

Manukau Christian School is a unique independent Year 1-13 school situated in South Auckland. We seek to develop courageous disciples of Christ who are equipped with a knowledge-rich, character-forming education to be Christian leaders in the public arena. Taking seriously Christ’s injunction to love the Lord our God with all our mind, we employ the academically rigorous and internationally recognised Cambridge curriculum to give all our students a broad and deep knowledge base.

We embrace a joyful and traditional approach to learning that is teacher-directed. With waiting-lists for classes throughout the school, and enviable results, we are committed to our ‘dare to be different’ approach and it has become a real selling point for our school.

We are seeking an enthusiastic ESOL and learning support teacher to work with a small number of ESOL and international students from Years 1 to 10 and to assist with releasing several of our primary teachers on a regular basis. The position offers up to 3 days per week work, ideally Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Here is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a sought-after school where traditional academic learning is prized.  Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
